Arthur and his friend Albert were saved from a horrendous situation of neglect a few weeks ago. Arthur’s coat was so smelly and matted that he had to be shaved: normally he is naturally long coated (see picture when he was taken from the old people’s home).

He has a lovely sweet and gentle temperament and is friendly and sociable with people and other dogs - he will be a very loyal companion. The mark on his face is from being ‘branded’: an old fashioned idea that doing this prevents a dog from diseases. 

Arthur is currently being travel prepped and will be ready for his forever home from July transport. He’s not looking his best at the moment, but once his coat grows back, he will be stunning with a kind heart as a bonus. He just needs a chance to love a family and be loved in return.
